Chandrika means moonlight, and the name suits a piece built almost entirely from clear crystal-look stones on a silver-toned frame. Light is the whole idea here: it catches on the ribboned side straps, gathers in the chandelier centre, and scatters through the fringe below. The one green-toned stone at the middle sits in all that brightness like a point of colour in a pale night sky. It is made to be seen under lights rather than in daylight.
The necklace sits collar-close at the sides and drops to a chandelier at the front. Each side strap is a run of open teardrop links, outlined in small clear stones and holding a crystal-look pear stone inside, set at alternating angles so the strap reads as a scrolled ribbon. At the centre, an emerald-green-toned step-cut stone is claw-set horizontally, the largest stone in the piece, flanked by clear openwork scrollwork. Below it hangs a starburst motif and three open pear frames, and green-toned oval medallions fringe the lower edge. The matching chandelier earrings repeat the green centre stone above the same clear and green-toned drops.
