Rajvanshi means of royal lineage, and this rani haar is cut to that length. It falls well below the collarbone in five fine ivory-toned strands that separate and rejoin along the way, so the piece moves as you move rather than sitting flat. The design belongs to the long-necklace tradition of Rajasthan, where a single centrepiece is carried low on the chest and the strands above it are left plain to give that centrepiece room.
Five slim ivory-toned strands run from the shoulders, broken on each side by short bands of soft grey-lavender ovals and small gold-toned bars. They gather into a gold-toned connector and open into a wide fan-shaped centrepiece, its face filled with clear pale detailing in petal and leaf shapes around a large soft grey oval at the middle. A row of carved grey-toned drops hangs along the curved lower edge, each finished with a small ivory-toned cap. The matching drop earrings repeat the same fan at a smaller scale.
Wear it for weddings, receptions and the long festive evenings where a shorter necklace disappears under heavy embroidery. The low fall works best over a plain or lightly worked blouse and an open or V neckline, where the strands have room to sit. The soft grey and ivory tones stay quiet against strong colour, so it suits a red, magenta or deep green outfit without competing with it.
