Neel means blue, and the blue here is deliberately rationed: a run of dark navy-toned drops set at even intervals along the front, and nothing else in colour at all. Polki-style work supplies the rest, milky uncut-look stones laid edge to edge in a single unbroken row. The whole set keeps to that one row, sitting close at the base of the neck rather than spreading down the chest, and it reads as a continuous line around the throat. The navy arrives only underneath, so the colour swings when you move.
The collar is worked in a warm rose gold-toned finish and sits close to the base of the neck. Identical linked panels run the full front, each holding one large cushion-shaped Polki-style flat-cut stone in a raised bezel ringed by a halo of tiny crystal-look stones, the largest panel sitting at the centre front. Beneath them the drops alternate in a strict rhythm: one navy blue-toned oval, then a cluster of three round pearl-look beads, then another navy oval.
