Meher means grace and gul means flower, and the flower here is the centrepiece: a full circular medallion built to read as a bloom opening outward. It hangs at the end of a long multi-strand fall, the length Indian families keep for weddings rather than everyday wear. Everything above the medallion is deliberately restrained so that the circle at the bottom carries the whole design.
Seven fine ivory-toned strands run from the shoulders, interrupted on each side by short bands of deep bottle-green ovals set between small gold-toned bars. They gather into a gold-toned cap above a large circular medallion whose outer ring is a full sunburst of pale clear petal shapes radiating to the edge. Inside that sits a band of deep green colouring, and at the exact centre a small four-petal flower. Nine carved deep green drops hang around the lower edge, each capped in ivory tone. The matching earrings repeat the circle at a smaller scale under a carved gold-toned leaf.
This is a bridal and wedding-party piece first: mehndi, sangeet, reception, and the family functions that sit around them. The long fall wants an open neckline and a blouse that is not already crowded at the chest. Deep green against a gold-toned finish reads strongest on red, maroon and cream, and it holds up well under indoor evening light where paler sets tend to wash out.
